An investigation is ongoing after a teenager died in an apartment complex fire, Friday afternoon. Firefighters responded to an apartment complex on South Spring Street in Westminster around 2PM.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the victim on the floor inside an apartment. The Oconee County Coroner's Office has identified the victim as 18 year old, Alexander Zavaleta.
There's been no word on how the fire started. The fire remains under investigation by SLED and the Westminster Police Department.
