Textile company announces expansion plans in the Upstate

$70 million investment expected to create over 100 new jobs

A textile company has announced plans to expand in the Upstate. Glen Raven INC. says it will invest $70 million in its operations in Anderson County, the expansion is expected to create 135 new jobs.

The plan calls for a distribution center to be built, to add to the company's existing operations. The company has operated in Anderson County since 1986. The new facility is expected to be operational in early 2023.

The Coordinating Council For Economic Development has approved a $400,000 grant to Anderson County to help fund the cost of the new construction.
