Another multi-alarm fire in another long-abandoned Upstate textile mill is under investigation. Pickens County authorities are sifting for the cause of the fire that broke out around 2 AM Sunday at the old Foster plant on Rice Road in Easley.
Crews from several departments battled the blaze for more than two hours. No injuries were reported. Several generations of Easley-area families had worked at the mill opened by Alice Manufacturing in 1959. It's been closed since 2008.
