The Anderson County Sheriff's Office issued the following media release Wednesday.
Anderson, SC (14 July 2021, 2:30 p.m. EDT) – On May 24, 2021 Deputies responded to an address on Orr Ashley Road in Honea Path in regards to a drive by shooting with injuries.
During an ongoing investigation into the shooting, Detectives signed Arrest Warrants for Kenyatta Q Pruitt, as well as co-defendants Alyssa Leach and Maggie McClure.
The United States Marshall Services located Pruitt at a residence on Old Green Pond Road in Anderson and requested the Anderson County SWAT Team to assist in the arrest. Pruitt was taken into custody without incident after a short standoff with SWAT personnel.
He was transported to the ACDC where he was charged with Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature as well as Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
