Three arrested after Standoff in Salem identified

The names of the suspects arrested after a standoff in Oconee County have now been released. Animal Control Officers from the Oconee County Sheriff's Office went to execute a search warrant at a home on North Little River Road in Salem, Monday.

71 year old Ann Hill, 58 year old Thaddeus Gaskill Jr. and 77 year old, William Andrew Hill were all arrested. 50plus animals mostly dogs were reportedly living in the home. Mr. Hill grabbed a gun when the Sheriff's Office arrived and barricaded himself inside the home.

SWAT was called in and he eventually surrendered peacefully. The Hills are charged with more than 65 counts of ill treatment of animals and Gaskill is charged with 7 counts of the same crime.
