Three people are facing charges after a human trafficking investigation that centers around an Upstate restaurant. The Clemson Police Department says allegations of human trafficking led them to launch an investigation back in May. On Thursday, that investigation resulted in the arrest of three people.
At the center of the controversy is the China Express restaurant on Old Greenville Highway in Clemson. A search warrant was executed there prior to the arrests of 49 year old Chun Min Lin, 38 year old, Mingqiang Chen and 49 year old, Hui Ying Zheng.
All three are charged with human trafficking and conspiracy. Zheng and Lin are also accused of laundering more than $100,000. TAG: No additional details have been released at this time and the Clemson Police Department says the investigation is ongoing.
