Three in Anderson Arrested for Animal Abuse; 40+ Warrants

Over 40 total warrants issued and 3 arrested after over 20 pets were found to be in horrible living conditions.

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office says a search warrant was executed at a home on Master Drive in Anderson by animal control following an investigation that began in November of last year with the arrest of 55-year-old Dianne Cricket Osborne on eight counts of ill-treatment towards animals.

Authorities said the conditions the animals were found in were deplorable, including dogs surrounded by trash and filth in cages in the living room, three large rabbits in a bird cage, fish swimming with cockroaches, and guinea pigs and kittens roaming throughout the home.

In total, animal control says eight dogs, three rabbits, two doves, two guinea pigs, two chickens and twenty cats were all rescued after the search.

Following the search, 38-year-old Gladys Ruth Lindley and 46-year-old Wallace Eugene Johnson were both charged with 15 counts of ill-treatment towards animals and one count of failure to bury a deceased animal each. They are both being held in the Anderson County Detention Center on a $46,000 surety bond.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Dianne Osborne was released on a $25,000 surety bond. Wallace Johnson and Gladys Lindley remain inside the Anderson County Detention Center on a $46,000 surety bond.
