Three in custody in WNC after drugs & a gun found

Three men are behind bars in Western North Carolina after drugs and a gun were found during their arrest, Tuesday. The Asheville Police Department says officers located 25 year old Teakele Grant , who was wanted on active warrants, around 2 PM Tuesday afternoon.

During the arrest officers seized a .40 caliber pistol, over half an ounce of cocaine, 12 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of meth, nearly five grams of heroin, and $800 in cash.

Shortly after, officers located two other wanted men, 25 year old Deveon Chambers and 37 year old Alvin Pearson. Grant faces over a dozen charges, Pearson and Chambers face multiple charges from the incident.

Grant is being held on a bond of $370,000, both Pearson and Chambers are being held on much smaller bonds. All three are in custody in Buncombe County.
