A student arrested on the campus of Easley High School is one of three teenagers facing trial, possibly as adults, for attempted murder and firearms charges.

Easley police say they got a call reporting gunshots around Preston Street and Ross Avenue late Wednesday afternoon. Shell casings were found in the area. Several witnesses and a review of security cam video led to the arrest of the three. It revealed three vehicles whose occupants were between fifteen and seventeen years old. Several shots were fired at one of the cars as it drove away.
The Easley High student was taken into custody yesterday when he returned to school where police were waiting to arrest him. Charges of three of the teenagers in addition to attempted murder include unlawful carrying of a firearm, discharging a weapon into a vehicle, possession of a weapon in a violent crime. No names are being released at this point because all of the suspects are juveniles, but investigators say at least one of them will likely stand trial as an adult.
