A toddler is dead after falling at an Upstate home. Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler identified the child as two year old, Hawkins Dusty Abercrombie of New York. Fowler says the child's family was visiting the area, when he fell into the septic tank of a Gaffney home Tuesday night.

The child's mother noticed him missing, a search of the area revealed the septic tank lid was upside down and the child's pacifier was floating in the tank. Emergency responders pulled the child from the water, but he was pronounced dead on arrival at Cherokee Medical Center. The Coroner's Office says the incident remains under investigation.
