Traffic stop puts dent in Upstate drug trafficking

A traffic stop has put a large dent in drug trafficking in the Upstate. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says two out of state suspects are facing charges after a large amount of drugs were seized.

The traffic stop happened Monday afternoon on I-85 near mile marker 75. Deputies searched the vehicle and found 26 grams of fentanyl and 8 kilos of meth.

The suspects, Mohammed Nasir Jilani of Raeligh, North Carolina and Jazmine Herrera-Meija of Durham were both taken into custody. They both faces charges for trafficking meth and fentanyl.
