Just over 24 hours after appearing in a South Florida courtroom on over 3 dozen federal charges, Donald Trump announced a campaign stop in the Upstate. Trump will hold a rally as part of the Independence Weekend events in the town of Pickens.
He's set to speak at 1 PM on Saturday July 1st. The weekend will have other festivities but, the Trump tour stop is expected to bring unprecedented exposure to Pickens during his visit.
Trump won South Carolina in 2016 and 2020 and if he's able to ward off the allegations against him, many pundits feel he's the frontrunner to take the state again in 2024. This marks the 1st announced tour stop in the Upstate for Trump of this campaign.
