U.S. Capitol Police have asked the Department of Defense for support from the National Guard ahead of the 'Justice for J6' rally planned for Saturday. Organizers of the event say they want to "demand justice" for the nearly 600 people who have been charged in connection with the January 6 insurrection. Supporters call them "political prisoners." USCP Chief Tom Manger had this message for anyone planning to attend: "We are here to protect everyone's First Amendment rights to peacefully protest. I urge anyone who is thinking about causing trouble to stay home. We will enforce the law and not tolerate violence."
