Former President Donald Trump's comments has ruffled some feathers with his recent comments regarding the automotive industry in America. Trump stated in an interview with Bloomberg News that automakers in the U.S. only assemble cars and children could do the job.

Trump said "They get away with murder, because they say yes we're building cars. They don't build cars, they take them out of the box and assemble them. We could have a child do it".

Spartanburg County Councilman David Britt responded calling Trump's comments misinformed and hurtful as it pertains to BMW's local operation. Britt says Trump has an open invitation to come tour the BMW facility and see for himself.
