The Laurens Police Department announced a breakthrough in a homicide investigation in what initially was thought to be a natural death. Laurens Police in late January had investigated a death at a duplex on Church Street in Laurens.
Autopsy results later indicated the death was in fact homicide by blunt force trauma.
In a Face book post Thursday detectives say they have arrested 38 year old Ashley T. Greene in the death of her husband 52 year old Vardis Greene.
Laurens Police also arrested Terry Anderson in connection with that homicide. Both have been charged with murder.
