
Two Upstate men are in custody following a weekend shooting incident in Laurens. The Laurens Police Department responded to a report of shots fired just before 9PM Sunday night.

Upon arrival, they found an SUV unoccupied near the scene that had been hit with gunfire. Police also discovered a nearby house that had been hit. A bullet was lodged in a bedroom wall there, near where the homeowner was sleeping.
Police say, witnesses reported that the man in the SUV fired towards a crowd of people on Second Street. One person in the crowd fired back at the SUV. The driver of the SUV, identified as Zikevious Amaan Rice was located and arrested. He faces charges of Attempted Murder, a Weapons Violation, Shooting Into A Dwelling and Shooting Within City Limits.
Also arrested in the incident was Montrarious Dejon Bailey. He's also charged with Attempted Murder, a Weapons Violation, Shooting Inside City Limits and Possession Of Stolen Property.
