Two men are behind bars in Union County after being charged in separate unrelated child sex crime investigations. Last Sunday, the Union County Sheriff's Office responded to Union Hospital on a report that a minor had been sexually assaulted.
The investigation identified 47 year old Charles Savage as the suspect. He was arrested and is charged with 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct.
On Tuesday, Deputies responded to a home on Lockhart Highway after another report of a minor being sexually assaulted. 51 year old, William Carter was arrested in that incident. he's charged with 1st and 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and two counts of incest.
The Sheriff's Office did not release the ages of the victims.
