Two people are dead after separate weekend crashes in the Upstate. Both crashes happened in Laurens County, the 1st occurred around 6:30 Saturday evening on Greenpond Road near Heartland Court.
The Highway Patrol says the driver of a Chevy HHR ran off the road, overcorrected, went off the other side of the road and hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2nd fatal crash happened just after 12AM Sunday on Highway 252 near Cain Road. Troopers say the rider of a Harley Davidson motorcycle went off the road and hit a ditch.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither of the two deceased have been identified , as of the time of this report.
