Two people are dead after separate shooting incidents in Anderson County over the weekend. The 1st of the two shootings happened around 1:40 AM Saturday in the area of Dean Springs Road.
Officials say the victim, 44 year old Jonlee Chad Ricks of Belton was involved in a fight that led to the shooting. Ricks was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just over an hour later, the Anderson Police Department and Anderson County Coroner's Office responded to a reported shooting on South Tower Street near Hampton Street.
The victim has been identified as, 26 year old Derrick Lamar Wiley of Anderson. The coroner's office says, Wiley was involved in a fight at a party that led to shots being fired.
Both of those shootings remain under investigation. There's been no arrests announced in either case, as of the time of this report.
