Two people were killed and three others were injured after a weekend crash in the Upstate. The fatal two vehicle collision happened around 10:30 last Sunday night on Highway 11 in Pickens County.
The South Carolina Highway patrol reports that a sedan and an SUV were traveling in opposite directions when they crashed into each other. Both drivers and a passenger in the sedan were injured and transported to the hospital to be treated.
There's been no update on their conditions. Two passengers in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene. The Pickens County Coroner's Office has not yet released the identity of the victims.
There's been no word on any charges stemming from the wreck, thus far. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
