Two people are dead after separate crashes in the Upstate, Tuesday. The 1st of the fatal wrecks happened in Anderson County, the latter in Spartanburg County.
The Highway Patrol reports a one person has died in a collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle. Troopers say that collision happened around 5:30PM Tuesday on Highway 88 near Highway 8 in Anderson County.
The crash report says, the driver of a sedan was making a turn onto Highway 8 from Highway 88 and the motorcycle struck the sedan. The biker died at the scene. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
The 2nd deadly collision happened just before 9 PM on Old Cannan Road in Spartanburg County. The driver of a 2013 Mercedes Sedan crossed the center line, side swiping a Lexus and then struck a Mercedes head on.
Passengers in both Mercedes were injured and taken to a hospital, but the driver of the Mercedes Sedan died at the scene.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 35-year-old Pierre Inpong Siharath. That collision remains under investigation by the SCHP.
