Two facing drug charges after traffic stop in Oconee County

Two people are facing drug charges after a weekend traffic stop in Oconee County. Deputies stopped a vehicle at Manor Road and West Oak Highway near Westminster, Sunday evening.

The Deputy learned that the driver 42 year old, Heath Allan Bates of Walhalla was driving with a suspended license. Two grams of Fentanyl were found when Bates was searched. The passenger 36 year old, Celeste Marie Crowe also of Walhalla was then found with over 12 grams of meth.

Bates is charged with fentanyl possession and driving under suspension. Crowe is charged with trafficking meth. She was also wanted on an outstanding bench warrant.
