A pair of suspects are facing trafficking charges after a drug raid at an Asheville motel, last week. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office says, that a search warrant was executed at Rock Haven Motel on Smokey Park Highway.
Deputies seized just under an ounce of fentanyl and nearly two ounces of both meth and cocaine. Multiple handguns and over $3200 in cash was also found. The two suspects Ernest Derronte Mitchell and Brittany Rochelle May were then taken into custody.
May is charged with conspiracy to traffic fentanyl and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Mitchell faces charges for trafficking fentanyl, meth and cocaine, weapons violations and other crimes.
