
Two men from Pickens County face child sex abuse charges, and each could see up to 10 years in prison for the felony offense.
Earlier this month, 21 year old Logan Tyler Smith of Central was arrested and charged with 3 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
On January 12th, in a separate unrelated case, 20 year old Sergio Eduardo Salinas Maradiaga of Easley was arrested and charged with 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
According to Officials with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, the two were arrested after investigating tips that came in to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Investigators with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office said both men had files of child sexual abuse materials.
Both cases will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General's Office.
