
Police, fire personnel and others responded Thursday to a work related accident in Greenville. Sergeant Jonathan Bragg of the Greenville PD says, officers responded to an incident on Westfield Street , around 430 PM.

Sergeant Bragg reports that a lift holding two workers was on fire when responders arrived. The lift touched nearby powerlines, causing the fire. One of the workers escaped the lift by jumping on to the balcony of a nearby building.
The other worker was unconscious and remained on the lift. The Greenville City Fire Department was able to rescue the man from the lift, after the power was disconnected. He has since been airlifted to the hospital for treatment of burns suffered in the incident.
There's been no further details released or update on the man's condition, as of the time of this report.
