Two students are facing serious charges in connection with the posting of a video of someone posing in a ski-mask with a collection of guns threatening Spartanburg County's Carver Middle School.
The youngsters, an eleven year old boy and twelve year old girl, are facing juvenile court trial for Breach of the Peace of a High and Aggravated Nature, and the state crime of threatening a school.
Spartanburg Police and SLED agents arrested them yesterday following the search of a home on Monday. Investigators say the video of the masked gunman had been downloaded from some other source and reposted on Instagram with the caption reading "Fear me Carver" and "Monday, 230."
The episode prompted extra security at Carver and McCracken Middle Schools along with Cleveland Academy. SLED confirms more than sixty threats in 23 counties across the state yesterday alone. Juveniles charged in twenty-one cases.
