Two people are dead after separate drownings over the weekend. Both incidents occurred on Sunday.
Ware Shoals Police as well as Laurens County Fire and Rescue and the Greenwood County Sheriffs Office responded to a possible drowning at Irvin Pitts Memorial Park in Ware Shoals Sunday evening.
The body of a man was recovered by the Abbeville County Dive team. No other details have been released.
The second incident happened, when one person drowned at a Greenville Apartment complex pool Sunday. Officials are investigating the apparent drowning death at Century Plaza Apartments on Century Drive.
No further information has been released on the incident.
