New Jobless Claims Jump to 965,000
The latest update to weekly jobless claims has jumped to 965,00 as of last week. The number is much higher than economists' expectation of 800,000 and a big increase since January 2's initial weekly jobless claims of 784,000. Last week's 965,000 claims are the largest total since August 22nd. However, first time jobless claims still remain under 1 million and has done so the past five months. A record number of 7 million claims were reported back in late March. Have you dealt with unemployment?
