An investigation is underway following a bank robbery in the Upstate. The Anderson City Police Dept. says a suspect used a bomb threat to rob the Wells Fargo on North Main Street around 1:15 Tuesday afternoon. The suspect fled the scene on foot.
He's described as a slender black male , wearing a black Nike hate with a white check on the front and a black jacket. He also was wearing a blue medical mask, so his face was not exposed in surveillance footage.
The bomb squad responded to the scene shortly after the incident. There's been no word on whether a bomb was found on scene, and as of the time of this report the suspect remained at large.
