An Upstate businessman and his wife were honored at a ribbon cutting Wednesday morning at an area college . Area automotive giant Jim Benson and his wife Evelyn were recognized at the ceremony held at Greenville Tech’s campus in Taylors. . The Bensons donated $2 million dollars to the school in 2014, on Wednesday the now complete Benson Amphitheatre and Pavilion was celebrated. The Bensons have pledged to donate another million dollars and have for years sponsored scholarships to the school.
