
An Upstate child is dead after a crash involving a drunk driver in the Low Country, earlier this month. Three year old, Greyson Nash of Spartanburg County died at MUSC Jenkins Children's Hospital in Charleston late last week from injuries suffered in the crash.
The collision happened the morning of April 14th on U.S. 176 in Berkeley County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says 48 year old Patrick Montgomery was traveling west on 176 when his GMC pickup collided with the Hyundai SUV that the child was a passenger in.
The driver of the SUV was hospitalized as a result of the wreck. Montgomery is charged with one count of felony DUI causing death and felony DUI causing bodily injury.
