An Upstate company is doing its part to help fight hunger. Electrolux has announced a donation of forty-five thousand dollars to help feed the hungry in Anderson County. 35 thousand of that will go to Meals On Wheels Anderson, the other 10 grand to the Anderson Emergency Kitchen.

Electrolux is also donating one of its refrigerators built at their Anderson facility. The announcement comes after grocery prices have risen over 7 percent year-by-year and are expected to rise 3 more percent before the end of this year. "

We are committed to being at the forefront of sustainability and to fighting hunger in our community alongside our strong community partners,” said Nolan Pike, head of Electrolux North America. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support our neighbors by providing access to food and fresh produce as food prices increase.”
