One Upstate County is turning up efforts to grow its tourism economy. Visit Anderson held an event to unveil it's new logo, Thursday morning. The change is a fresh spin and new look, as the county looks to continue to build its tourism brand.

Glenn Brill is the Director of Parks, Recreation and Tourism in Anderson County. He says it new look logo comes in due time. Brill said "It was time for a new logo, the one they have has been in use for the past 15 years, so it was time for a new logo." The new logo is below.

Anderson County's top tourist attraction Hartwell Lake has been emphasized under Brill's direction, but he says there's another factor in the County's tourism growth.

Brill said "Bottom line it's the people, it's how they are treated when they come here and that's been one of our successes".

Hartwell Lake in Anderson County is one of just a handful of places to host the Bass Master Class, four times. Hartwell is expected to host it again in the future. Brill says, that tourism has become a 250 million dollar industry in Anderson County and that number is expected to grow.
