An Upstate married couple are both facing charges following their daughter's death earlier this month. Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says a 14 year old Gaffney girl with disabilities died at Spartanburg Regional on April 11th.

Investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office say the parents of the girl failed to care for her properly and refused to take her to doctor's appointments. A search of the Gaffney home of 52 year old, David Baynard and his wife, 43 year old Bobbie Jo Baynard revealed terrible living conditions.
The home was said to be infested with flies, maggots and roaches, contained fecal matter and reeked of urine. After a two week long investigation, David and Bobbie Jo Baynard were arrested for murder Thursday.
