An Upstate man is in custody after an incident Monday afternoon that prompted the evacuation of a building. Police responded to a medical facility in Laurens on a report that a bomb threat had been called in there.
The Laurens Police Department says a thorough investigation at the scene determined there was no credible threat or danger to the public.
56 year old, James Boyter of Laurens has been arrested and is charged with unlawful use of a telephone, communicating a bomb threat and aggravated breach of peace
