An Upstate man has been arrested and charged, after his grandson took a gun to school last week. A 6 year old took the gun to class with him Friday Morning at Laurens Elementary and a staff member found the gun.

The Laurens Police Department says the student told them, he brought the gun with him to shoot zombies. The child reportedly found the gun at his grandfather's house and put it in his back.
The child's grandfather Kalim Abdul Alawajid was arrested and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child. Laurens School District 55 says a future disciplinary hearing will be held to decide the child's punishment.
