An Upstate man is behind bars after he allegedly beat and choked his pregnant girlfriend. The Laurens Police Department responded to the Hilltop Apartments last Thursday.
Upon arrival, officers were told 32 year old Kyle Burton had forced entry into an apartment and assaulted the mother of their unborn child. Investigators say Burton choked and beat the woman who is said to be about 6 months pregnant. Burton was arrested Tuesday evening.
He's charged with aggravated domestic violence, auto theft, financial card fraud and multiple other crimes. Burton is being held without bond in Laurens County.
