An Upstate man is facing charges after a deadly shooting in Anderson, early Thursday morning. As we previously reported, Anderson County Deputies responded to a reported shooting on Palmetto Lane around 4:30AM.
Upon arrival, the victim was found shot to death inside his vehicle. Investigators say the suspect 35 year old Thomas J. Anderson went to his estranged wife's apartment and found she had another man over.
The victim identified as 29-year-old Oscar David Barrios Mazariegos was described as an "acquaintance" of the wife's and was trying to leave the scene when Anderson reportedly shot him.
Anderson is charged with murder. He is being held at the Anderson County Detention Center.
