Charges have now been announced against an Upstate man accused of shooting and killing his wife. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a home on Harper's Way in Anderson late, Monday night.
Upon arrival, the victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound. She later died at the scene and had been identified as 74 year old, Sally Brainerd.
Now, her husband 79 year old, Edwin Brainerd Jr. has been arrested and charged with her murder and a weapons violation. Investigators say a domestic dispute led to the shooting.
