An afternoon fishing trip ends in a drowning death on an upstate river. The Anderson County Coroner's office identified the victim as, 23 year old Joshua Tyrese Fair of Anderson.
Investigators say he and a friend were fishing on the Saluda River near Pelzer Wednesday, when Fair dropped his phone in the river and fell in the water trying to retrieve it.
Emergency crews began their search around 5PM and Fair's body was recovered a couple of hours later. Authorities say he was not wearing a life jacket and added that alcohol may have been a contributing factor.
The death is still under investigation.
