A Spartanburg County man faces a list of drug charges after a traffic stop, Tuesday afternoon. The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office says deputies were on patrol on New Cut Road, when they spotted a Ford Mustang driving with a broken windshield.

A deputy then stopped the vehicle and came in contact with 34 year old, Michael Dewayne Irby. Deputies say Irby gave them a fake name twice, but gave them his real social security number which revealed his real identity.

Irby had open bench warrants and when he was searched deputies found marijuana and a pipe. Irby was then taken to the Spartanburg County Jail and during a search there, meth was found on him.

Irby is charged with distribution of meth 2nd offense, bringing contraband into a jail, providing false information to police and multiple other charges.
