A Laurens County man is facing a list of over a dozen charges after a wild weekend chase in the Upstate. The Mauldin Police Department says an officer attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a stolen license plate, around 11:30AM, Saturday.
The suspect driver, 32 year old Shaun Bingham then led officers on a chase that ended on Murphy Lane, when he tried running on foot. Police say, Bingham was apprehended after he assaulted an officer while trying to get away.
Bingham is charged with attempted murder, resisting arrest and assaulting an officer, intent to distribute fentanyl, a weapons violation and multiple other crimes.
