The suspect charged in an Upstate shooting over 2 years ago, has been sentenced to prison. The 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office says, 55 year old Benjamin Anthony Doyle of Spartanburg, is set to serve 15 years in connection to the shooting.
Doyle was arrested after being identified by witnesses following the shooting at Spartanburg's Prince Hall Apartments in February of 2020. Doyle pleaded guilty this week to aggravated assault and a weapons charge. Circuit Judge Mark Hayes sentenced Doyle to 15 years, he must serve 85 percent of the sentence before being eligible for parole.
