An Upstate man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being found guilty of murder. The 7th Circuit Solicitors Office says, the murder trial of 38 year old, Timothy Joseph McKinney started last Monday and ended with a guilty verdict, Thursday.
The charge comes after the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office found a man that had been burned to death in May of 2021. The victim was identified as Travis McCall of Enoree.
The investigation uncovered blood at McKinney's home and DNA testing revealed it was McCall's blood. Witnesses and video evidence also linked McKinney to the murder. He has been sentenced to life in prison without parole.
