An Upstate man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sex crimes against a child. The 7th Circuit Solicitor's Office says, 42 year old James Roy Bryant of Greer admitted to sexually abusing a child.
In June, Bryant entered guilty pleas to a charge of of 2nd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, and two counts of 3rd degree Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor.
Bryant was sentenced on Tuesday by Circuit Court Judge Mark Hayes. Bryant will be required to register as a sex offender and will be on lifetime GPS monitoring upon his release.
The crime was reported by the victim's 10 year old sister in 2019. Investigators say, the victim described the sexual assault in detail during a forensic interview.
