Upstate man sentenced to 16 years for sex crimes

An Upstate man is expected to spend the next 16 years behind bars for sex crimes against a child. The South Carolina Attorney General Office says , 40 year old David Fraser of Greer pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, Incest, and Unlawful Neglect Of A Child.

Investigators found that Fraser had sexually abused a 15 year old girl in 2016, and that he threatened to hurt her family members, if she didn't cooperate. The case was investigated by the Greer Police Dept and prosecuted by the State Attorney General's Office. In addition to the 16 year prison sentence, Fraser will be required to register as a sex offender.
