An Upstate man is set to spend the next decade behind bars for possessing large amounts of child pornography. 63 year old, Matthew Leon Arotin of Pickens was sentenced Monday after pleading guilty.
The U.S. District Attorney's Office says Arotin possessed over a 130 videos depicting child sex abuse. Several of those contained images of infants and toddlers being sexually abused.
The Pickens County Sheriff's Office was tipped off after Arotin uploaded child porn to a google account. A trace of the IP address led them directly to Arotin, who is already a registered sex offender.
He has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, there's no parole in the federal system.
