
A Spartanburg man will spend the rest of his life in prison after an armed robbery and kidnapping at an Upstate hotel nearly four years ago. 55 year old, Frank Mills Jr. was convicted of three counts of kidnapping, armed robbery and a weapons violation, Wednesday.
The charges came after court records say, Mills held three employees, one who was nine months pregnant at knife point while robbing the Holiday Inn Express near Spartanburg's Westgate Mall in September of 2019.
He hid his face from cameras during the robbery, but was identified by a victim two weeks later, when he was arrested for bank robbery in Union County.
Mills was given four life sentences without parole, all to to run concurrently. He has a vast criminal history that include multiple convictions and prison stints.
