Actor & Upstate native Chadwick Boseman to be honored after his death

An Upstate native who died nearly 3 years ago is part of a group of celebrities that will be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, next year. The 2024 Class of inductees was unveiled earlier this week and Anderson native Chadwick Boseman was named to the list of those to be honored.

Boseman graduated from TL Hanna High School in Anderson before rising to fame as an actor.

He gave award winning and critically acclaimed performances for his role as James Brown in the movie "Get On Up", Jackie Robinson in the film "42" and for his work on the Black Panther movie franchise.

Boseman died in 2020 after a battle with colon cancer.
