Four people have been arrested following the fatal shooting of An Upstate woman last month. On March 13th, 21 year old Paris Janae Kennedy was shot and killed at the Quail Pointe Apartments in Spartanburg.
On Thursday, Spartanburg County Sheriff Chuck Wright announced the arrests of 19 year old Zechariah James Utecht Of Greer, 21 year old Tyrease Sherrod Martinez of Taylors, 20 year old Spartanburg resident Napolean Rhodes and 20 year old Seven Terell Keenon of Duncan. All four are charged with Murder and Possession of A Weapon During A Violent Crime.
At his press conference, Wright stated one of the disturbing things about this incident is that it happened in broad daylight. Sheriff Wright says Kennedy was the victim of a shootout between two groups of men that happened after a fight. Three of the suspects are currently in custody in Spartanburg County. The 4th, Zecheriah Utecht is in custody in Michigan awaiting extradition, after he fled there following the shooting. Sheriff Wright's full press conference is below.
